Residential Children's Worker - Waking Nights

Job Description

Location: Crystal Care Solutions - Shandon House

Waking Nights - Residential Children's Worker Role, Full Time, working a 5:2 rolling 2 weeks shift system

Contract: 35-37.5hr plus overtime if required.

Your Role

  • Build positive, respectful relationships with children and young people.
  • Support care plans, development goals, and emotional well-being.
  • Promote safeguarding, routines, and behavioural boundaries.
  • Engage young people in education, recreation, and daily life skills.
  • Act as a key worker and lead shifts where appropriate.
  • Maintain records and liaise with families and external professionals.

About The Role

Salary: Subject to Experience/Qualifications - overtime available

  • Competent in Microsoft Office (or willing to learn).

  • Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Commitment to ongoing development.

Desirable

  • Experience working with children or vulnerable people.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma, and safeguarding.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

Required Criteria

  • Ability to maintain and develop positive relationships with children, professionals, and colleagues.
  • Ability to act as a positive role model demonstrating honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to complete a Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • Ability to commit to shift system which covers all days of the week over a 2-week period.

Desired Criteria

  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or equivalent qualification.

Contract Type: fulltime

Salary: From £13.85 Hourly to £14.84 Hourly
