About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Conveyancer to join our property team. You will manage a full caseload of residential and commercial matters, delivering a high standard of service from instruction through to completion. This role involves working independently, supporting colleagues where needed, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents, and third parties to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.
Key Responsibilities
File & Case Management
- Manage a full caseload of residential and commercial sale, purchase, remortgage, transfer of equity, leasehold and freehold matters.
- Maintain accurate file records, correspondence, and system updates.
- Ensure timely progression of all transactions from initial instruction to completion.
Legal Drafting & Document Review
- Draft contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements and other legal documents.
- Review title documents, leases, searches and supporting paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare clear reports on title and advise clients accordingly.
Client Communication & Care
- Liaise with clients via phone, email, letter and in person.
- Provide clear, jargon-free advice and explanations.
- Attend client meetings and oversee signing of legal documents.
- Maintain excellent client service to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Liaison With Third Parties
- Communicate with estate agents, lenders, brokers, surveyors, solicitors and local authorities.
- Handle enquiries, respond to requisitions, and coordinate exchange and completion dates.
- Submit SDLT forms and register completed transactions with the Land Registry.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, CQS standards, AML regulations, trust registration and internal policies.
- Identify and assess risks within transactions and escalate where necessary.
Business Development & Team Support
- Support marketing initiatives and business development opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with referrers and agents.
- Supervise administrative staff and paralegals as required.
- Contribute to team meetings and firm-wide initiatives.
About You
- A Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with experience managing files from instruction to completion.
- Experienced in leasehold, freehold and commercial property transactions.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Able to work independently while managing a busy caseload.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
- Confident IT user with experience of case management systems.
- Desirable: Experience with LEAP and the ability to identify cross-selling opportunities.
