About Alecto

Alecto's mission is to make the law accessible to everyone on the planet.

We're building an AI-powered law firm - initially focused on residential conveyancing - combining deep domain expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional customer service at scale.

We're backed by Firstminute Capital, Mishcon de Reya LLP, and Simon Rogerson (Co-Founder & CEO of Octopus Group). Our founder, Will Rice, previously built Gen H into one of the UK's leading mortgage lenders for first-time buyers.

The Role

We're hiring qualified residential conveyancers of all experience levels to manage purchase and sale transactions in England & Wales.

You’ll be expected to manage high-volume caseloads while delivering outstanding legal work and customer service. You'll work with proprietary AI tools that handle routine tasks, freeing you to focus on complex legal issues and client relationships.

  • Location: Work from home as standard, with the option to work from our London office
  • Hours: Manage your own hours so long as you make yourself available for your clients and attend key company meetings
  • Reports to: Head of Legal Practice or Team Lead

What to Expect

  • Real impact: Improve the way people navigate some of life’s most important moments.
  • Ownership: You'll have real responsibility from day one.
  • High standards: We don't compromise on quality. You'll have support from technology and colleagues, but we expect excellence.
  • Fast pace: We move quickly. Our technology evolves rapidly. You'll need to adapt and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Transparent assessment: Your performance will be measured across quality of legal work, customer satisfaction scores, transaction speed, and case volume. All metrics are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Direct feedback: You'll get thoughtful feedback regularly, with monthly performance reviews.
  • Career progression: Advancement and pay increases are based entirely on results delivered, not tenure or other attributes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
