Residential Conveyancer

Residential Conveyancer (2+ Years PQE)

Location: York
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancer looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking law firm in York?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded firm that is committed to delivering exceptional client service while providing a collaborative and rewarding working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Conveyancer with 2+ years' PQE who is looking to develop their career within a firm that genuinely invests in its people.

The Role

You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, handling a variety of matters including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership matters
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties throughout the transaction
  • Delivering a high standard of client care at every stage of the conveyancing process

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' PQE in Residential Conveyancer
  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx) or SQE-qualified lawyer
  • A thorough understanding of professional integrity and exceptional client care
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively within a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience using Partners for Windows case management software (desirable)
