Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor - Modern, National Law Firm

London | Permanent | Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 days remote)

A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor to join its busy and supportive Conveyancing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated conveyancing professional looking to take ownership of their own caseload while working within a collaborative environment that values client service, innovation and professional development.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, providing clear legal advice and ensuring a high standard of client care throughout the transaction process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing purchase, sale, remortgage and transfer of equity transactions
  • Advising clients on the legal aspects of residential property matters
  • Carrying out ID verification, source of funds checks, gift deposit reviews and associated risk assessments
  • Drafting and issuing contracts
  • Managing mortgage redemptions and exchanges of contracts
  • Ordering, reviewing and reporting on searches
  • Investigating and reporting on titles, including leasehold matters and related enquiries
  • Reviewing mortgage offers and management packs
  • Handling both new-build and second-hand property transactions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with introducers and referrers
  • Supervising and supporting conveyancing assistants and administrative team members where appropriate

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Residential conveyancing experience with full responsibility for running your own caseload
  • CILEx Level 6, CLC qualification or equivalent residential conveyancing expertise
  • Strong technical knowledge across the residential property transaction lifecycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines
  • A proactive, organised and client-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
