Salary: Depending on experience
Location: Brunswick House, Gloucester Business Park, Brockworth, GL3 4AA
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm, (35 hours per week)
About Us
Unlike many other law firms, Thomas Legal only deal with residential property work, so we are true experts in our field. Whilst we are a national firm, we have a particular speciality in the London market and across the South of England and have won numerous awards for our work.
The Role
Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for truly passionate and self-motivated individuals who can build upon and directly input to the continued success of our business.
Strong client relationship skills are essential to meet the needs and expectations of our clients and ever-growing introducer base, who expect a high level of professional service at all times.
The successful candidate will report to the Directors, managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing work whilst supervising and developing junior members of staff.
Whilst a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer) would be desirable, we are also looking at non-qualified conveyancers.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
- Strong knowledge and technical experience of:
- Residential conveyancing across the full range of sale, purchase and remortgage matters.
- Leasehold and lease extension work.
- Transfers of Equity
- New build
- SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions, in residential conveyancing matters.
- Dealing with unregistered properties.
- The impact of restrictions and cautions lodged against a property and how these might be removed.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to develop, coach and mentor junior team members.
- Proven track record of winning new business and developing strong relationships with Estate Agents & Brokers.
