This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our clients.
About The Role
We are seeking skilled Residential Service Charge Accountants to join our clients finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and reconciling service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with auditors, property management teams, and various other stakeholders to deliver precise financial reporting and support our clients in achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Create manual balance sheets from system transactions with accuracy.
- Understand consolidated bank accounts to identify and locate transactions efficiently.
- Manage multiple residential service charge reconciliations simultaneously, tracking and reporting progress.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.
- Work effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Proactively resolve queries with initiative and independence.
- Comprehend the relationships between data fields, reporting, and financial outputs.
- Read and interpret lease provisions accurately.

Knowledge, Experience, And Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Residential Service Charges.
- Experience working with external auditors and handling detailed audit inquiries.
- Experience working with property management databases.
- Well-versed in the RICS Service Charge Code and Professional Statement requirements.
- Understanding of Reserve/Sinking funds management.
- Proven expertise in residential service charge reconciliations.
- Knowledge of Section 20b notices and recoveries.
- Ability to manage multiple Service Charge schedules concurrently.
- Experience working through Debtors and Creditors during Service Charge periods.
