Residential Service Manager
Outstanding Residential Service Manager Opportunity – Oundle, Peterborough
You may apply for an exciting position as a committed Residential Service Manager to lead an exceptional residential care home in the Oundle, Peterborough area. The role is with one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers, responsible for delivering respite residential care tailored to the needs of elderly individuals with dementia.
About the Role
This care home offers specialist respite care in a pleasant, residential setting on the outskirts of Oundle. You will play a pivotal role in managing care, ensuring high-quality, person-centred assistance for residents.
Requirements & Qualifications
mandatory You must holdNVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care to qualify for this role.
Preferred Experience & Skills (The listed responsibilities are indicative of core requirements, duplicated below for clarity.)
- Proven track record as a Residential Care Manager
- Strong understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008
- Expertise in developing and implementing evidence-based individualised care plans, therapeutic interventions, and personalised activity programmes
- Proven leadership skills to supervise and mentor support/nursing teams underpinned by clinical governance
- Proficiency in caring for residents with mobility challenges, continence needs, and daily personal hygiene using appropriate aids/equipment
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
- Experience in sickness management, staff training, and coaching/mentoring
- Ability to lead with strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships across teams

Key Responsibilities
The role entails:

Care Planning
- Developing and enacting individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and personalised activity programmes based on evidence.

Team Leadership
- Overseeing nursing/support staff to deliver consistently high standards of person-centred care.
- Applying clinical governance frameworks for quality assurance and promoting staff professional development.
