Residential Support Worker | Aspris (SW26)
About the Role
At Aspris, we believe that all young people deserve the best chance to grow, develop, and receive the support necessary to prepare them for a bright future. Our Residential Support Workers play a critical role in helping us achieve this vision.
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll provide emotional support to our young people while assisting with daily activities such as personal care (getting washed, dressed, and ready for school). Weekends will often feature fun off-site outings—think theme parks, bowling alleys, cinemas, and zoos—so you won’t just be at the home; you’ll experience memorable days alongside the young people who call Aspris home.
This role isn’t without its challenges: our homes accommodate young people with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs. However, our support workers consistently highlight how profoundly rewarding it is to forge strong relationships and witness personal growth. There’s no greater satisfaction than helping a young person overcome their difficulties and make progress.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
