Residential Support Worker

Do you have experience in children’s residential care and a passion for making a difference? Join our client’s team as a Support Worker and truly make a positive impact to the lives of up to three children at their large, nurturing home based in Reading, where they focus on therapeutic care and the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, therapeutic care to children in line with the PACE model.
- Lead shifts, supervising and mentoring a team of Support Workers.
- Support the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, helping them achieve their potential.
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and day-to-day management of the home.
- Ensure the home meets regulatory standards and follows safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:
- Experience in a children’s residential care setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of therapeutic practices and safeguarding policies.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
