Residential Support Worker
Support Worker – Specialist SEN and Autism Provision (Surrey)

About the Role
Location: Surrey Salary: GBP £25,308.79 – GBP £27,180.57 per annum (based on 44.25 working hours per week) Contract Type:
- Full-time (term-time only, Mon–Fri or Mon–Sun, 44.25 hrs/week)
- Part-time candidates will be considered
This award-winning part-residential school is a specialist independent provision supporting learners with Autism and SEN. We seek a dedicated Support Worker to join our team on a full-time basis, with part-time options available.

Shifts Available
Full-time employees work 44.25 hours a week and may be required to work varied shifts:
Mon-Fri shifts (up to 44.25 hrs):
- 06:45 – 13:30
- 15:45 – 22:00
- Split shift: 06:45 – 13:30 and 15:45 – 22:00 (full long day)
Mon-Sun shifts (up to 44.25 hrs):
- 06:45 – 13:30
- 15:45 – 22:00
- Split shift: 06:45 – 13:30 and 15:45 – 22:00
- 12:00 – 22:00
- 06:45 – 16:00

Our setting supports learners aged 5–25, delivering personalised education and care in a nurturing environment.

Requirements
To be considered, candidates must meet the following (desirable items preferred):

- Eligibility to work in the UK (essential)
- Does not offer sponsorship to non-EEA candidates
Preferred (but not essential)
- Teaching assistant, childcare, or adult care experience (some in SEN/autism preferred)
- Direct experience working with young adults or children with special educational needs
- Personal experience with SEN or similar (if no formal background)
Responsibilities
- Support young people daily, helping build independence in living skills.
- Assist learners with severe and complex needs in a safe, encouraging environment.
- Foster strong relationships to create a feeling of confidence and safety.
- Encourage participation in education, creative hobbies, fun activities, and community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, healthcare teams, and families.
