Residential Support Worker

Longmoor Care, a reputable company in the accounting industry, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker with experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities (LD) and Autism. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing compassionate care and support to residents in a residential setting. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support according to individual care plans.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for residents at all times.
  • Engage residents in recreational and social activities to promote their wellbeing.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' behavior or health to the management team.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families to ensure holistic care for residents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' progress and care plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with individuals with LD and Autism is essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach when working with vulnerable individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures related to safeguarding and health & safety.
  • Basic knowledge of health and social care practices.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
