As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping children and young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people within the home
  • Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people feel valued and respected
  • Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and social activities
  • Build positive and trusting relationships through patience, understanding, and consistency
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and personal growth
  • Follow and implement individual care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
  • Record and report information accurately, including daily logs and incident reports
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes
  • Transport young people to appointments, school, and activities where required
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
  • Organised and reliable with good attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
