Role Overview
We are seeking a Residential Surveyor (AssocRICS or MRICS) to join our Survey and Professional Services team, delivering high quality valuation and professional survey work for major UK lenders and private clients.
This is a home based role within a stable, technically strong environment, with inspections and diary centrally coordinated so you can focus on professional judgement, inspection quality and report delivery.
Your workload will include lender valuations, Red Book valuations for probate, taxation and matrimonial purposes and, where appropriate, Homebuyer Reports and Building Surveys. Volumes are structured to prioritise quality, accuracy and defensibility.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
This role requires strong technical capability, sound judgement and disciplined compliance.
You will take ownership of inspections and reporting while operating within a well organised professional support structure.
You Will
- Undertake valuation and survey work in accordance with lender and RICS standards
- Deliver accurate, robust reports within agreed SLAs
- Follow specific lender guidance and Red Book requirements
- Maintain CPD in line with RICS regulatory obligations
- Keep up to date with market and regulatory developments
- Adhere to Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and internal compliance procedures
You will build trusted relationships with lenders and private clients while continuing to strengthen your technical expertise.

Most weeks, you’ll be:
- Attending prebooked inspections across your patch
- Undertaking lender valuations in line with panel requirements
- Completing Red Book valuations for probate, taxation and matrimonial purposes
- Preparing Homebuyer Reports and Building Surveys where required
- Delivering reports within SLA and compliance standards
- Developing competencies aligned to MRICS progression
You will work from home, travelling to inspections as required, supported by central diary coordination so you can focus on technical delivery and professional development.

YOUR PATHWAY TO MRICS AT SRVO VALUATIONS & SURVEYS
We take chartership seriously and provide a clear, structured and well supported pathway, including:
- Dedicated MRICS qualified supervisors and counsellors
- Structured mentoring and regular progress reviews
- Support with competency selection, case study preparation and ethics
- Paid professional fees, exams and resits
- Protected time for APC related development and CPD
For most candidates, this typically results in chartership within 12 to 24 months, depending on experience and APC entry point.
Beyond MRICS, there are clear routes into senior technical roles, specialist valuation work and broader professional advisory positions, allowing you to continue developing your career within a respected and stable practice.
