Associated Wellbeing Ltd provides mental health care to young people of any gender between the ages of 6 and 18. A multidisciplinary team of experienced mental health professionals delivers evidence-based DBT therapy tailored to each individual’s needs. The service supports young people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and those seeking personal growth and self-discovery. Associated Wellbeing Ltd is committed to helping young people build resilience, strength, and inner peace while navigating periods of crisis. The organisation aims to enable each person to reach their full potential and, where appropriate, safely transition back to their family home or other supportive environments.
Role Description
The Residential Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Bradford, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential mental health setting for young people. The role includes:

- Leading and supporting a team of residential staff
- Coordinating care plans
- Ensuring that therapeutic approaches, including DDP, are consistently applied in day-to-day support
- Managing staffing rotas
- Supervising and mentoring team members
- Ensuring that safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies are followed
- Liaising with clinical professionals, families, and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate records
- Contributing to service development and quality improvement

The Residential Team Leader will foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes recovery, independence, and positive outcomes for residents.
Qualifications
- Experience in leading or supervising teams within residential care, mental health, social care, or similar support settings
- Strong skills in care coordination, risk assessment, and safeguarding practices for children, adolescents, and young adults
- Ability to support and implement therapeutic approaches (such as DDP informed practice) in day-to-day residential care
- Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills for working with young people, families, and multidisciplinary professionals
- Strong organisational, record-keeping, and time management skills, including familiarity with basic IT systems
- Relevant professional qualification in health, social care, psychology, youth work, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice, diversity, and inclusive, non-discriminatory care
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and to respond calmly in crisis situations
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for residential services and commitment to continuous professional development
