🌟 Residential Senior Support Worker – Lead with Compassion

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Earning potential: £27,976.00 - £33,435.04 per annum*

*Higher end of the pay scale is inclusive of qualification enhancement, attendance bonus and 2 sleep-ins per week at £46.01 each (Staff members may complete more than 1 sleep-in per week)

Hourly rate: Ā£13.45 – Ā£16.07 per hour

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, long days, and sleep-ins

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role in the home. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
  • Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
  • Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding

Sapphire House is a residential 1 bed bungalow in Worksop, located near the A57. The home provides emergency placements and operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and can think on their feet.

As part of our committed staff team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people aged 5–18. Our approach is trauma-informed, and we focus on creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can grow, heal, and reach their full potential.

  • A strong, compassionate personality and leadership qualities
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting
  • A QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • A desire to grow—opportunities to complete a fully funded Level 5 qualification available
