Job Overview

We are looking for a professional, adaptable and customer-focused Security Officer to join our Resilience Team, supporting a portfolio of sites across Northwest and South Cumbria.

In this role, you will protect our customer's people, property and assets by delivering high-quality security services in line with site Assignment Instructions (AI's), company policies and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, supporting operational resilience and contributing to the continued success and retention of the contract.

You will receive comprehensive, site-specific training across multiple locations and, once assessed as a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP), you will become part of a flexible resilience team, providing operational support across all designated sites. This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you may be deployed to any of our sites at short notice to support operational requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated, flexible and committed to continuous professional development within the security industry.

  • Deliver professional security services in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI's), company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, UK legislation and industry regulations.
  • Complete all site duties to a high standard, whilst always maintaining professionalism.
  • Regularly review Assignment Instructions and identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain all required certifications, and competencies relevant to the role.
  • Follow operational procedures accurately and work in a structured, methodical manner.
  • Support contract performance by consistently delivering excellent customer service.

Training & Development

  • Successfully complete all mandatory and site-specific training programmes.
  • Undertake additional training and development as directed by the Security Management Team.
  • Use technology and internal systems effectively to support operational requirements.
  • Maintain continuous professional development and ensure all licences are renewed in advance of expiry dates.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
