Aids & Adaptations Resource Controller

Are you an organised and customer-focused coordinator with a passion for making a real difference? We're looking for an Aids & Adaptations Resource Controller to join our team, helping to deliver vital adaptations that enable customers to live safely, independently and comfortably in their homes. In this varied and rewarding role, you'll coordinate Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and adaptation works from referral through to completion, working closely with customers, contractors, local authorities and internal teams to ensure an excellent customer experience and successful outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinating Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and adaptation works from initial referral through to final completion and sign-off.
  • Managing works schedules, appointments, surveys, asbestos assessments and specialist services to ensure projects progress efficiently.
  • Liaising with customers, contractors, local authorities and internal stakeholders to provide updates and support throughout each case.
  • Raising and managing jobs within scheduling systems while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Reviewing quotations, raising purchase orders, validating invoices and monitoring project costs.
  • Supporting effective resource planning by allocating works to operatives and contractors based on skills, availability and service requirements.
  • Monitoring performance against key targets and producing management information and case updates.
  • Coordinating training activities, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives to support service excellence.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in resource planning, scheduling, coordination or a similar operational support role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams.
  • GCSEs or a relevant qualification (NVQ, CIPD, CPP or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
  • Ideally, experience within the social housing sector and an understanding of building maintenance, construction or adaptation works.
  • Experience using work scheduling or operational management systems would be advantageous.
