Resource Coordinator

Job Title: Resource Coordinator – Rail & Construction


About the Organisation

Our client is a national provider of specialist plant and equipment solutions, supporting large-scale projects in construction, infrastructure, rail, and energy across the UK.

Due to rapid expansion, they are scaling their Resource Management team and are now seeking a skilled Resource Coordinator to join their operations.


The Role

Reporting into Resource Management, this fast-paced yet critical role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills. You will:

  • Manage the allocation of skilled plant operators across contracts within your region.
  • Oversee rail personnel compliance—ensuring all industry standards, certifications (e.g. qualifications, medicals, right-to-work checks), and documentation are current.
  • Work closely with client teams, agency partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver high standards efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and track operators and subcontractors based on operational and legal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, including contractors and agency staff.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and site teams to align resources with project demands seamlessly.
  • Ensure comprehensive, compliant records for rail-specific roles, including:
    • Sponsorship management
    • Fatigue monitoring
    • Industry-standard licensing (e.g. Rail Industry Standards compliance)
  • Oversee operator welfare, attendance checks, and payroll processing.
  • Support ** Loriange Consol Further pay invoicing for approved work.
  • Step in for team members on an ad-hoc basis to cover workload gaps.

Requirements & Skills

Experience & Knowledge:

Expertise in one or more of the following: ✔ Resource coordination or workforce planning in construction, rail, or temporary recruitment. ✔ Rail labour supply operations (required). ✔ Experience with external hiring processes (e.g. job/agency partnerships).

Soft & Technical Skills:

  • Exceptional organisation with an eye for detail on documents, deadlines, and legal compliance.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver for fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent communicator—emails, calls, and stakeholder updates must be clear and professional.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and any project-tracking software.
  • Upfront, transparent disgressor who earns trust through team-working and positivity.
