The Role

The purpose of this role is to lead a team of resource managers who manage supply and demand across a Service Line or within a certain discipline. They have accountability for executing strategies to meet resourcing needs for our client and functional teams. They will partner and collaborate with growth, HR, finance, operations, and talent acquisition to staff teams timely and ensure excellence in client delivery.

Job Description

In 2023, we started our journey to create, implement, and embed a One Dentsu approach to Resource Management and Workforce Planning. The UK, as one of our major markets, is an early adopter and currently undergoing transformation which sees us building a new resource management function alongside the implementation of Adobe Workfront as our enabling technology. For the first time in our 125-year history, we will have a consistent and connected approach to managing our client demand and employee capacity across one dentsu.

The CXM Resource Management Partner shapes and leads the resource management capability across CXM UK. The role drives workforce planning, allocation, and utilization through data-led insight, embeds consistent processes and tools, and partners across the business to manage demand, resolve conflicts, and optimize both talent development and business outcomes. This role reports to the Head of Resource Management UK.

Responsibilities

  • Shaping and Transforming the Process for Workforce Planning and Resource Management Capability
    • Contribute to the creation and ongoing evolution of the vision, strategy, process, technology, and role designs and implementations as directed including participating in design sessions/review committees etc.
  • Change champion. Advises leadership and line personnel on workforce planning and resource management processes, and principles (current and upcoming changes). Works to drive consistency with the right degree of flexibility for different business models and workforces.
  • Point of contact for conflict resolution as it relates to resource needs, placements, allocations, and shifts.
  • Collaborate in setting and driving the change journey across all stakeholders.
  • Understands and communicates the impacts (financial, client relationship, skill) of applying one resource over another or removing a resource from work.
  • Proactively reviews opportunity pipeline to create and understand the picture of upcoming demand.

  • HR Management responsibility for 1-3 Resource Managers, Specialists, and/or Resource Coordinators.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Resource / Talent Management or Business Transformation or Operations Management and/or excellence.
  • Experience of the Adobe Workfront tool is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR core concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with financial concepts, practices, and administration.
  • Contract management skills.
  • Business and commercial acumen, a proven track record of contributing in the business leadership team.
  • Budget management skills.
  • Focus on building processes and improvement in staffing efficiencies.
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Exemplary coaching skills - Has the interpersonal influence and credibility to be able to effectively act as a coach and change agent for team and market HRD as well as to help the business embrace business decisions/initiatives.
  • Excellent influencer who has a clear sense of key stakeholders and can create a compelling case based on analysis/fact base and can adjustable their personal approach to influence change in the business.
  • Action driven, service oriented, self-managed, and high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills – excellent time management and ability to multi-task among competing demands.
