Resourcing Advisor, Regional
Resourcing Advisor (Global Remit) – Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh
An exciting role with a global remit, the Resourcing Advisor will drive recruitment excellence in fee-earner recruitment delivery. A dynamic balance of autonomous strategic hiring and business partnering, allowing you to become a trusted extension of the teams you support.
This role can be based in Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh, with travel to other UK offices as and when required.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities

Fee-earner legal recruitment & campaign design
- Take effective hiring briefs from business partners and collaborate with hiring managers to craft compelling recruitment campaigns and role profiles, aligned to the AG EVP and employer brand.
- Manage agency briefings and screening calls to secure the best candidate talent.

End-to-end recruitment process
- Shortlist and screen candidates, providing guidance on best practice and market insights to hiring partners.
- Deliver timely feedback, advise on salaries and approvals, and manage offers from extension to acceptance.
- Handle candidate queries, ensure smooth transitions to HR Administration, and capture/share feedback on declined offers.

Talent pipeline & speculative applications
- Take full ownership of an allocated fee-earning division, assessing and managing speculative applications.
- Support AG2030 growth plans by proactively tracking and reviewing the candidate pipeline to identify and flag strong matches before roles go live.

Talent attraction & engagement
- Conduct continuous market research, networking, and insights to attract and engage talent.
- Build strong relationships with local recruitment agencies and hiring teams, coaching hiring managers on best practices.
- Optimise direct sourcing (e.g., talent mapping, job boards, referrals, social media) to enhance candidate experience, reduce cost per hire, and improve inclusion outcomes.

Strategic & operational leadership
- Act as a key business partner, engaging with Divisional Finance, HR, and BD.
- Lead (with necessary support) recruitment projects and initiatives, including:
- ATS (Applicant Tracking System) implementation & process design
- Employer branding & EVP (Employee Value Proposition)
- Inclusive talent acquisition
- Performance & Service Level (PSL) reviews
- Talent pool & community management
- Use recruitment systems and reporting tools to monitor:
- Recruitment activity and success rates
- Agency performance & usage
- Pipeline diversity
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets, templates, and collateral.

- Maintain sustained responsiveness and high-service standards to deliver:
- An excellent internal hiring manager experience
- An fair, inclusive, and efficient candidate experience
- Support the Resourcing Assistant on administrative tasks, such as:
- Arranging interviews
- Sharing feedback
- Drafting offer paperwork and contracts

Who We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
We’re seeking an experienced Resourcing Advisor, with backgrounds gained either in-house or with recruitment agencies. Key requirements include:

- Direct sourcing experience (e.g., use of LinkedIn Recruiter and similar tools).
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in the legal sector.
- End-to-end recruitment expertise, including:
- Sourcing and attraction methods
- Candidate pipelining
- Aligning recruitment with firm’s strategic growth ambitions
- Ability to follow and implement a clear recruitment strategy and process.
- Strong ability to build credible and trusting relationships with:
- Candidates at all levels
- Stakeholders across the business
- Promise to deliver commercially sound advice, keeping knowledge up to date.
- Commitment to professional growth, including:
- Expanding your internal and external recruitment network
- Embracing new attraction methods
