Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (BDCFT)
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (BDCFT) is an award-winning community and mental health Trust with a strong reputation for putting people first – both the communities we serve and the staff who work here. Our vision is to connect people to the best quality care, when and where they need it, and to be a national role model as an employer.
We're looking for an experienced, proactive and resilient Resourcing Officer to join our Temporary Staffing Service (TSS) at a time of change and opportunity.
Temporary staffing is rapidly evolving across the NHS, with increasing focus on agency reduction, collaborative staff banks, workforce optimisation and forthcoming Employment Rights Act changes. We're therefore looking for someone who not only understands temporary staffing but is excited by the challenge of helping us navigate what comes next.
About The Role
As a key member of the TSS team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the Trust has access to a safe, compliant and effective temporary workforce. You'll oversee the day-to-day management of bank worker processes, champion compliance standards and provide expert advice on temporary staffing policies and procedures.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing end-to-end bank worker onboarding and compliance processes
- Working with services to maximise bank fill rates and reduce reliance on agency workers
- Supporting implementation of temporary staffing initiatives, new processes and service improvements
- Supervising colleagues within the team, providing day-to-day support and quality assurance
- Helping ensure TSS continues to deliver an outstanding service during a period of significant workforce and legislative change

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
