About the Role
We seek an experienced Respiratory Consultant to join our virtual diagnostic service, supporting NHS partners across England. Ideal for consultants wanting to supplement existing practice while maintaining high standards of patient care.
This fully remote roles allows flexibility to fit around existing commitments, offering asynchronous work in sessions tailored to morning, evening, or weekend availability. Your responsibilities include reviewing sleep studies, conducting virtual consultations, and delivering evidence-based clinical advice.
All patients receive a virtual appointment to discuss results and next steps. You’ll deliver virtual diagnostics efficiently, reducing outpatient waitlists.

Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Respiratory Consultant, you’ll:
- Review sleep study investigations and determine patient management plans based on findings.
- Conduct virtual consultations, providing tailored clinical advice and guidance to patients.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records in accordance with NHS standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Support diagnostic pathway efficiency and patient-access improvements.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
✔ NHS-based experience as a Respiratory Consultant in the past. ✔ Specialist Registrar status or active listing on the Respiratory Medicine Specialist Register. ✔ Independent expertise in interpreting sleep study investigations and divising management plans. ✔ Bonus: Previous experience with virtual care or diagnostic pathways. ✔ Strong family consultation skills and a patient-first approach.
