This is a rare opportunity to become our national Respiratory Lead on a one-year secondment. You'll play a pivotal role in developing respiratory services, supporting clinical teams, and helping people live fuller, healthier lives.
About The Role
As our Respiratory Clinical Lead, you'll be the go-to expert for all things respiratory, helping shape and grow high-quality specialist services across Exemplar Health Care.
In This Role, You'll
- Lead on respiratory care, providing expert guidance on tracheostomy care, ventilation, airway management, and complex respiratory conditions
- Develop and embed best-practice clinical pathways, policies, and standards
- Support services to safely build respiratory capability and welcome new admissions
- Play a key role in expanding our specialist respiratory services, working closely with Operational, Clinical, and Business Development teams
- Drive clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Design and deliver engaging respiratory training, coaching, and competency programmes
- Establish and lead a network of Regional Respiratory Advisors, sharing expertise and promoting excellence across the organisation
- Contribute to complex assessments, MDT discussions and strategic service development
- Act as an ambassador for Exemplar Health Care, championing innovation, learning, and outstanding respiratory care

About You
Above all, you’re someone who identifies with our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork.
You’ll be a Registered Nurse (Adult) or a Physiotherapist, and will have:
- A recognised qualification or significant postgraduate training in respiratory care, critical care, ventilation management, or a related specialty
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Significant experience supporting people with complex respiratory needs
- Experience of tracheostomy care and airway management
- Experience of invasive and/or non-invasive ventilation
- Experience developing and delivering respiratory training and competency programmes
- Experience supporting clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement
- Experience advising and supporting multidisciplinary teams
- Experience undertaking complex clinical assessments and decision-making
- Knowledge of current respiratory care standards, best practice, and relevant legislation
