Part-Time Respiratory Therapist
All Saints Sub Acute and Nursing
Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Employment Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $47–$48 per hour (DOE)
Join Our Clinical Team
All Saints Sub Acute and Nursing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care, pulmonary rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct patient care to residents with pulmonary disorders and respiratory deficiencies. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and quality care.
General Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to perform respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct patient care for residents with deficiencies and abnormalities affecting the pulmonary system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive and follow schedules, assignments, and instructions from the Respiratory Services Supervisor and facility leadership.
- Adhere to all established facility policies, procedures, and respiratory care standards.
- Conduct focused patient assessments to identify respiratory care needs.
- Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in a patient's condition.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data from patients and healthcare team members to identify actual or potential respiratory diagnoses.
- Develop and implement patient-specific plans of care based on assessment findings.
- Perform respiratory care interventions according to identified priorities, physician orders, facility policies, and patient care standards.
- Adhere to emergency preparedness, safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance procedures.
- Promote positive communication and collaboration among interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Report changes in a patient's respiratory status to the Respiratory Care Director/Supervisor, primary nurse, and attending physician as appropriate and before leaving the facility.
- Maintain effective working relationships with nursing, rehabilitation, dietary, social services, and other departments.
- Protect resident privacy and maintain strict confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI).
- Promptly report known or suspected incidents involving unauthorized disclosure of resident information.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for performing assigned duties in a safe, ethical, and professional manner.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all respiratory care services provided.

Qualifications

- Current Respiratory Therapist license/certification in good standing as required by state regulations.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute care, long-term care, or acute care settings preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of respiratory equipment, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements.
