Responsible AI Specialist (Governance, Ethics & Compliance)

Responsible AI Specialist – Talan Data x AI

About the Role

AI moves from experimentation to enterprise-wide adoption, but ensuring trust, compliance, and fairness has become critical. Talan Data x AI seeks a Responsible AI Specialist to embed ethical considerations into consulting solutions and advice. This is a strategic role with scope to shape standards and governance in enterprise AI deployments.

You don’t need deep technical engineering expertise, but you must grasp how AI systems operate, their failure modes, and what operational governance looks like—particularly as regulation like the EU AI Act evolves. You’ll be a connective bridge between engineering, governance, and clients, translating principles into actionable frameworks.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define and operationalise Responsible AI frameworks in the practice, creating policies, guidelines, and risk managers tailored both for engineering teams and clients.
  • Advise delivery teams on ethical AI design, tooling, and risk mitigation throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Conduct AI risk & ethical impact assessments—assessing fairness, bias, and operational risks—in tandem with system development.
  • Contribute to client governance dialogues, ensuring conversations about AI fairness, transparency, and regulatory compliance are informed.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes (e.g. EU AI Act, ICO guidance) and translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance for teams.
  • Support internal capability-building by raising awareness of Responsible AI principles, tools, and reporting obligations across the organisation.
  • Work with architects and data scientists to establish documentation, evaluation, and governance “guardrails” for models.
  • Speak to the intersection of ethics, rationale, and practical deployment, ensuring delivery aligns with ethical and regulatory expectations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
