The Role

We have a vacancy for an exceptional security focused Responsive Security Officer to work on behalf of Carlisle Support Services for Camden Council in North West London to protect our client's premises, assets and personnel. This is a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant and fast-paced environment as a part of a professional and personable team.

Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Undertake assessments of risk and to deliver visible security patrols and prevention in response to community requests for assistance, information and advice in relation to crime and antisocial behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with all officers to agree the use of resources in response to community requests.
  • Lead engagement and communication with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct visible Housing Estate and Community based patrol interventions that reduce risk and reassure communities.
  • Support and co-ordinate operations utilising Police, CCTV and other Community Safety partnership resources.
  • Provide a reactive, uniformed presence within Camden's Night Time Economy (NTE), working with Regulatory Services, partnership resources and businesses to help make the NTE safer for all users.
  • To Detect, Disrupt & Deter offenders and take appropriate enforcement action where and when required.
  • To provide a reduction in the fear of crime and improved reassurance through committed public liaison, stakeholders engagement and by attending various Council, Police and public meetings in relation to this role.

Attributes

  • Live within a 30-minute radius of Camden and have access to transport.
  • Frontline Door Supervision SIA licence is essential.
  • First Aid awareness.
  • Full clean UK Drivers Licence held for at least 2 years.
  • Previous experience within a similar role.
  • Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
  • Excellent communication & administration skills.
  • Reliable with excellent time management skills.
  • Conflict management and community safety aware.
  • Awareness of identifying and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Confident manner on telephone and radio.
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Ability to be successfully vetted against NPPV2 and CSAS (Community Safety Accreditation Scheme) requirements.
  • Willing to learn and develop.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours (days, nights, evenings and weekends).
  • Smart appearance.
  • Proactive attitude, friendly, approachable and professional.
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions.
