Employability Trainer

We’re looking for a passionate Employability Trainer to deliver tailored classroom and virtual training that helps individuals build confidence, develop job-search strategies, and secure sustainable employment.

About the Role

You’ll lead interactive sessions on:

  • Interview techniques
  • Job applications
  • Transferable skills
  • Segmented or niche-specific job-readiness

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Promoting training opportunities
  • Supporting participant action plans
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safeguarding standards
  • Designing impactful solutions such as mock interviews and sector-specific preparation

Key Requirements for the Role:

  • A proven track record in delivering employability and personal development training both face-to-face and online.
  • Strong digital skills, including experience with virtual platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • A proactive mindset in overcoming barriers faced by job seekers.

Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Facilitate high-quality and engaging ESOL sessions that develop both employability and language skills.
  • Deliver high-impact training solutions aligned with participant progression needs, meeting diverse criteria.
  • Identify and address new training requirements for both individuals and employers, collaborating with content developers.
  • Collaborate with other training professionals and stakeholders to provide mock interviews, work prep activities, and employer events.
  • Achieve personal performance targets while maintaining quality and compliance standards for all training delivered.
  • Support Employment Advisers in aligning participants with sustainable opportunities.
  • Promote and market courses to ensure effective participation and progress toward employment.

Training & Compliance:

  • Ensure electronic/verbal delivery complies with privacy and confidentiality policies.
  • Train operational staff for continuous service and tool awareness (e.g., Seetec Online Services).
  • Participate in continuum improvement initiatives to improve customer service standards.

Administration & Safety:

  • Conduct risk assessments for training activities and classroom environments if relevant.
  • Maintain compliant records of trainer interactions and training progress.
  • Uphold data protection compliance (e.g., GDPR).

Flexibility & Long-Term Growth:

  • Prioritize employee ownership and corporate values (equity, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding).
  • Commit to flexible work arrangements, travel, and overnight stays if required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in delivering ESOL training to groups of 10+ at entry, level 1, or level 2.
  • Strong grasp of unemployment barriers and their impact on job-seeking outcomes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards in employability training, real-world personal-development programming.
  • Experience with multiple digital technologies for remote or in-person delivery (e.g., Microsoft Office/Teams/zoom).
  • Incentivized by performance-driven motivators for skill development across participants.

Desirable

  • Formal qualifications in Award in Education & Training, Level 3 (PTLLS) or equivalent (CTLLS).
  • Background in quality-driven contract environments.
  • Experience with IT-driven training needs analysis, tracking progress via software.
  • Full operational driving license to support any travel requirements.

Location, Hours & Salary

  • Location: Uxbridge, London (rural commute options available)
  • Hours: 37 hours/week (Monday-Thursday: 8:30am–5pm, Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm)
  • Closing Date: 14th July 2026
  • Salary: £28,000–£33,000 p.a. (depending on experience)
