We’re currently recruiting for an Employment Adviser to join our amazing team. You will provide advice and support to guide and encourage participants to overcome barriers to employment and achieve realistic job goals.

In this role:

  • You’ll manage a caseload of participants, coaching and mentoring them through their journey to employment.
  • You’ll act as their trusted contact, building strong relationships to motivate, challenge, and support them in securing sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed personal performance targets (Key Performance Indicators – KPIs)
  • Progressively manage a caseload of customers, using appropriate strategies to help them overcome barriers to employment
  • Deliver a positive customer experience, ensuring strong engagement
  • Facilitate assessments using tailored tools to understand individual circumstances, ambitions, and goals
  • Provide advice on self-employment and signpost to internal specialists where needed
  • Develop personalised, SMART-targeted Action Plans to facilitate positive progression
  • Support in job-search preparation, interview training, and digital skills development
  • Ensure evidence compliance for job-start verification
  • Source and promote job opportunities by engaging with employers and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate, compliant records (both digital and hard-copy)
  • Develop specialised signposting knowledge on local support services
  • Act as an employee owner, championing best practice and the company’s interests
  • Flexibly adapt to role demands, possibly including travel and overnight stays
  • Commit to continuous professional development and relevant training
  • Adhere to data protection, safeguarding, diversity, inclusion, and IT policies
  • Contribute to Prevent and safeguarding initiatives
  • Undertake any necessary tasks relevant to the position

Location & Working Hours

  • Office-based in Bath
  • 37 hours per week (Mon–Thurs 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Fri 8:30 AM–4:30 PM)
  • Closing date: 16 July 2026

Salary & Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary between £26,500 and £29,545 per annum (dependent on experience), along with exceptional benefits:

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

✅ A good understanding of the local labour market in the region ✅ Basic knowledge of self-employment principles ✅ Fully IT literate (proficient in Microsoft Office applications) ✅ Experience in a target-driven environment ✅ Ability to deliver services that meet contractural and quality standards
