Join the team at Marcliffe as a Restaurant and Bar Assistant and become part of one of Scotland’s most prestigious 5-star hotel operations. About the Role

  • Deliver warm, professional, and personalised service to every guest
  • Take food and drink orders, offer knowledgeable recommendations, and serve with flair
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised bar throughout service
  • Confidently manage orders, upsell where appropriate, and handle bills and payments accurately
  • Support the wider events team across both large- and small-scale functions
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations

About You

  • Passionate about food, drink, and delivering exceptional service
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and craft cocktails desirable
  • Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
  • Positive, energetic, and genuinely passionate about guest experience
  • Immaculately presented with excellent communication and service skills
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods
  • Reliable transport required due to limited late-night public transport
  • Previous experience in fine dining or five-star hospitality preferred
