Job Introduction — Duty Manager Role (Selfridges Oxford Street)

About The Role

As the Restaurant Duty Manager, you will:

  • Support the daily operations of all restaurants in Selfridges Oxford Street
  • Lead morning team meetings with Restaurant Managers, briefing them on essential day-specific updates and running through the daily financial plan. Collection and coordination of personal forecasts.
  • Act as a duty point of contact (in person and via phone) to resolve ad-hoc issues like IT malfunctions, staff attendance concerns or service disruptions.
  • Jump in at the frontline to support any restaurant—managing guest interactions, clearing tables, running drinks and food service, or assisting in the back-of-house areas, particularly during peak times.
  • Ensure cross-departmental communication and align the team with store and departmental priorities.
  • Serve as the central source of information for restaurant operations, briefing:
    • Store hosts
    • Store leads
    • Department managers on real-time events, outbreaks or anomalies across our restaurants.
