Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Floor Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of CORD Restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading the Front of House team, and working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless collaboration between the kitchen and service teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in positioning CORD as one of London's leading dining destinations by maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, operational excellence, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Support the General Manager in the daily operation of CORD Restaurant.
  • Lead the Front of House team by example, ensuring exceptional service standards at all times.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver a seamless guest experience and maintain strong communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Take ownership of service periods, ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Guest Experience

  • Deliver memorable dining experiences through outstanding hospitality and attention to detail.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Build strong relationships with returning guests and promote customer loyalty.

Business Development

  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of CORD by identifying opportunities to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing and PR teams to support promotional campaigns, events, and community engagement.
  • Help establish CORD as a leading culinary destination in both the local and international markets.

Financial Performance

  • Support the achievement of financial targets through effective labour scheduling, cost control, and revenue optimisation.
  • Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Assist in analysing business performance and implementing corrective actions when required.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop Front of House team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure all staff maintain the highest standards of professionalism, presentation, and service.

Stock & Procurement

  • Assist with purchasing and inventory management.
  • Work with approved suppliers to ensure quality, value, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health and safety, licensing, and employment legislation.
  • Maintain restaurant policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Similar management experience in a premium or fine dining restaurant.
  • Experience working in award-winning or Michelin-recognised restaurants.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for exceptional hospitality and guest service.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of restaurant financial performance.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Knowledge of OpenTable and other restaurant management systems.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
