Restaurant Manager

Our Restaurant Managers play an essential role in delivering an exceptional customer experience across our Restaurants—ensuring tasty food, high operational standards, and the achievement of commercial targets.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the fast-paced restaurant operation, taking responsibility for both the kitchen and front-of-house management
  • Lead an engaged team, focused on delivering a great customer experience
  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Implement effective stock management controls to minimise wastage and maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Support delivery of in-store events, including seasonal highlights like Breakfast with Santa, and regular fixtures such as Afternoon Teas
  • Communicate effectively with central support teams to maintain smooth operations and improve business processes
  • Collaborate with the wider Garden Centre Management team to ensure a safe working environment, commercial success, and a positive team culture

  • A passion for hospitality and proven experience in restaurant management

  • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, profitability, and driving sales improvements

  • Strong stock control expertise and strict adherence to health & safety regulations

  • The ability to identify training needs, effectively coach and mentor teams, ensuring a first-class customer experience and safe workplace

  • Adaptability—quick thinking, enthusiasm for change, and resilience in managing evolving priorities and workloads
