Location: Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum + Tronc

Contract: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7, including weekends and bank holidays.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our busy public café at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum.

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant while delivering an outstanding experience for every guest. You will lead, motivate and develop your team, maintain the highest standards of food safety and customer service, and work closely with the General Manager and client to drive operational excellence and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Organise staff rotas and scheduling to ensure the business is appropriately resourced.
  • Lead by example, inspiring and supporting the team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop team members to reach their full potential.
  • Work alongside the kitchen team to plan menus and deliver a high-quality food offering.
  • Build strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers and manage stock ordering effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are available while minimising waste.
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed in line with legislation and company standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming restaurant environment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures relating to cash handling, equipment and company property.
  • Work closely with senior management and the client to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Analyse performance and implement strategies to improve sales, service and operational efficiency.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager within a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • A passionate leader who enjoys developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage rotas, priorities and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with experience driving sales and controlling costs.
  • Good understanding of food safety, health & safety and hospitality compliance.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach with the flexibility to support the team wherever needed.
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
