Role Description

The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Queensferry Crossing in Queensferry. This role oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing service standards, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure. The role involves hands-on floor management, leading by example during busy service periods, and supporting hotel-wide initiatives to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in restaurant or food and beverage management within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Excellent customer service and guest relations skills, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality experiences.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu knowledge, stock control, and cost awareness.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) tools; experience with hotel or restaurant management systems is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
  • Previous experience in a branded hotel or a similar upscale restaurant and relevant hospitality qualifications are beneficial.
