Company Description
The Angus Hotel is Blairgowrie’s premier leisure hotel and one of only four in Perthshire with a modern, fully equipped leisure club and indoor pool. As a family-owned property, the hotel combines professional service with a relaxed atmosphere, comfort, and strong customer care. It offers 90 supremely comfortable en suite bedrooms, extensive communal areas, and lift access. Guests enjoy an attractive restaurant serving freshly cooked cuisine from our Black Angus menu. Located in the heart of Perthshire, the hotel is ideally situated for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, rafting, skiing, adventure sports, and nearby championship golf courses.
Role Description
The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing service standards, coordinating reservations, supervising staff, and ensuring guests receive a high-quality dining experience.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the front-of-house team.
- Support menu implementation in collaboration with the kitchen.
- Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation.
- Manage schedules.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of restaurant staff.
- Oversee cash handling and basic reporting.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest feedback.
- Drive customer satisfaction.
- Work with hotel leadership to meet revenue and cost targets.

Qualifications
- Strong focus on Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with experience delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated skills in Food & Beverage operations, including knowledge of menus, service standards, and basic stock control.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, team members, and management.
- Experience with Hiring and supervising staff, including training, performance support, and shift coordination.
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar supervisory role in hospitality.
- Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
- Relevant hospitality or management qualification is beneficial but not essential; equivalent experience will be considered.
