About the Role

Position Title: Ballroom Restaurant Manager Managerial Authority: Operational leadership over the Ballroom Restaurant, a key dining hub with a daily capacity of 600+ covers across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The ideal candidate is passionate, driven, and believes in elevating every guest interaction. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring five-star service through a dynamic team, daily operations, and top-tier food and beverage delivery.
  • Cultivating a positive, high-performing culture in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with the kitchen, events team, and management to deliver seamless, unforgettable service.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Motivation

  • Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house team to uphold exceptional service standards.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive work environment with a proactive focus on staff development.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, service delivery, and team logistics.
  • Ensure consistency and improvement of all service standards, aligning with the luxury brand reputation of Hoar Cross Hall.
  • Coordinate seamlessly across kitchen, events, and F&B departments for meticulous execution at all service points.

Financial & Compliance Management

  • Assist with budgeting, stock control, and labour analytics under guidance from the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor and report performance metrics for operational efficiency.

Guest Experience & Problem-Solving

  • Anticipate and resolve guest feedback promptly, maintaining satisfaction.
  • Handle service issues professionally and collaboratively, escalating when necessary.
  • Respond adaptively to guest needs, ensuring each interaction exceeds expectations.

Flexible Engagement

  • Varied shifts required, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • On-call availability may apply for events and peak service periods.

Requirements & Fit

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Head Waiter, or similar role in a luxury hotel or high-volume fine dining environment.
  • Passion for hospitality with a five-star customer service mindset.
  • Exceptional team leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work hands-on and adapt seamlessly to fine-tune operations.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to meet flexible shift requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing multi-site or large-scale venues.

Salary and Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
  • Annual Salary: £43,000.00
  • Weekly Hours: 45 hours
  • Work Week: Rotating schedule of 5 days per week (including weekends and bank holidays).
