I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role
As a Restaurant Manager, you’ll run your restaurant like you own it. You’ll lead from the front, build a high-performing team, and create a place where people love to work — and customers love to come back to.
You’ll
- Lead, coach, and develop your management team and crew
- Own your P&L and drive sales and profitability
- Deliver brilliant standards, every shift, every day
- Control costs, hit targets, and keep things moving fast
- Create an energetic, inclusive culture where people can be their best
You’ll also be focused on developing stars — coaching your managers, growing talent, and creating clear pathways for people who want more. When your team wins, you win.
It’s fast-paced, high-energy, and hands-on — but you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be supported every step of the way.
What We’re Looking For
Restaurant management isn’t easy — and you already know that. You’ve got experience running a busy operation, making smart commercial decisions, and stepping in when it really counts.
