Front of House Manager
Elements Restaurant | Bearsden
Full-time | Four-day working week
Some restaurants maintain standards. Others raise them.
At Elements, we've built something special. In less than two years, Elements has become one of Scotland's most exciting independent restaurants, earning recognition in the Michelin Guide, Three AA Rosettes, an AA Notable Wine List Award and multiple national awards.
Now we're looking for an exceptional Front of House Manager to help shape what comes next. This isn't simply about running service. It's about leading people, creating memorable experiences, developing an exceptional team and helping drive the continued success of our restaurant.
Working alongside our General Manager, Operations Director and Chef Owner, you'll lead from the floor every day while playing a genuine role in the future growth of the business. We're looking for someone who understands that exceptional hospitality and commercial success go hand in hand – someone who loves building relationships, developing people and creating experiences guests can't wait to return for.
If you're ambitious, commercially aware and believe hospitality should be warm, personal and never scripted, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the driving force behind our front of house operation, ensuring every guest receives the exceptional experience Elements is known for. Alongside leading service, you'll:
- Inspire, mentor and develop an ambitious front of house team
- Deliver seamless, polished service with warmth and personality
- Build genuine relationships with returning guests and create memorable experiences
- Drive beverage sales, wine pairings and premium dining experiences through confident recommendations
- Work closely with the kitchen to deliver exceptional service from start to finish
- Recruit, train and coach the next generation of hospitality professionals
- Help grow repeat business, private dining, events and Chef's Counter experiences
- Build relationships with local businesses, hotels and hospitality partners to attract new guests
- Contribute ideas that help Elements continue to evolve

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
