Restaurant Manager – Sofitel London Gatwick
About Us
Sofitel London Gatwick is the perfect blend of style and convenience. With 518 spacious ensuite rooms, plus a selection of restaurants and bars showcasing fresh international flavours. Our luxurious hotel includes gym facilities and 14 flexible conference and meeting rooms, capable of accommodating up to 300 guests. It offers an exclusive walkway straight into the airport’s North Terminal.
A Bit About What You Will Do
Restaurant Managers in our stylish hotel oversee restaurant operations, ensuring the team delivers warm, welcoming, and excellent service that consistently exceeds guests’ expectations.
- Lead by example and foster team dynamics to ensure the team stays focused on meeting guests’ needs and brand standards.
- Monitor the restaurant’s performance through guest feedback and financial results, initiating corrective action as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget.
- Manage budgets, reduce costs, and maximise profitability.
- Communicate and enforce policies on pouring measures and age verification.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to attract and retain guests.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Director of Food and Beverage to identify concepts and menu design aligning with brand standards.
- Conduct daily team briefings and attend Food and Beverage meetings with leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Manage staffing levels based on business demands.
- Address guest concerns promptly, attentively, and efficiently.
- Coach, train, and support the team to deliver consistently high standards while driving continuous improvement.

- Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and drive for maintaining high standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Full understanding of financial aspects, including budgeting and profit/loss accounting.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
- Proven experience in managing, coaching, challenging, and developing teams.
- Approachable and positive with a "can-do" attitude.
- Ability to use initiative in challenging situations and under pressure.
- Smart and professional appearance.
- Proven track record in a similar 4-star hotel role.
- High standard of English, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with brand standards.
