Job Title: Operations Manager (OM)
Your Role at Raising Cane’s
The Operations Manager (OM) supports the Restaurant Leader in achieving operational excellence across the restaurant. You’ll ensure all standards and Raising Cane’s culture are upheld daily.
Your Impact and Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Execute daily Restaurant operations, including opening and closing the establishment
- Act as a shift manager and ensure all functions run smoothly according to Raising Cane’s standards
- Manage cash handling efficiently while enforcing accountability
- Enforce company policies across teams (e.g., food safety, staff conduct)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Execute shift management while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational standards
- Utilise required tools, forms, and shift logs to document actions and identify issues effectively
- Deploy and supervise Crewmembers throughout shifts, assigning responsibilities as needed
- Doing various duties as assigned
Critical Responsibilities
✔ Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service, meeting guest expectations consistently. ✔ Crew Support: Utilise the reward and recognition program to motivate and appreciate Staff. ✔ Employee Oversight: Approve discretionary tasks (e.g., discounts, promotions, time overrides). ✔ Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and safety—ensuring operations are running smoothly at all times.
Essential Functions
The role requires strong performance in all areas:
- Accurately take orders, process payments quickly, and communicate clearly
- Work safely around hot cooking equipment, cleaning chemicals, and common cooking materials (e.g., oil, flour)
- Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and compliant with UK food safety and company procedures
- Lead by example and uphold the highest standards of culture and performance at all times
- Demonstrate a "can-do" attitude alongside coaching other team members to reach their best potential

Requirements
Required Qualifications
✅ Must be 18 years of age or older ✅ Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) qualifications ✅ 3+ years of experience in restaurant or retail management ✅ Successfully complete all Raising Cane’s mandatory training programmes ✅ Must be self-disciplined and prepared to work flexible hours including:
- Days, evenings, weekends
- Travel requirements for company functions or training ✅ Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage ever-changing multitasking demands ✅ Self-motivated, adaptable, and energetic with strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills ✅ Problem-solving abilities: recognise challenges, set realistic goals, develop actionable plans to resolve issues ✅ Skilled with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) ✅ Able to quickly adapt and learn new operational technology systems
