Job Description
The Role
The Operations Manager (OM) supports the Restaurant Leader in delivering operational excellence and ensuring Raising Cane’s standards and culture are upheld across all restaurant operations.

Core Functions
- Executes restaurant operations functions
- Acts as manager on duty to open and close the restaurant
- Manages cash handling, ensuring accountability
- Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
Shift Management
- Executes shift meetings while adhering to operations and safety standards
- Utilises required tools, forms, and logs to track performance, document results, and implement corrective measures when needed
- Deploys Crewmembers during shifts
Customer & Crew Support
- Provides exemplary customer service
- Utilises reward and recognition programs to engage Crewmembers
- Approves employee functions requiring management action (e.g., discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides)
Maintenance & Compliance
- Ensures the restaurant is clean, safe, and operating efficiently
- Completes additional duties as assigned
Essential Functions
To excel in this role, the Operations Manager will:
- Take orders accurately while processing payments efficiently
- Maintain clear and effective communication
- Work safely around hot equipment, cleaning supplies, and common ingredients (e.g., oil, flour)
- Integrate food safety and company procedures while maintaining a clean and orderly environment
- Lead by example, demonstrating Raising Cane’s commitment to high standards
- Promote a can-do mindset, coaching others to achieve their best

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
- 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
- Completion of all Raising Cane’s essential training programs
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and potential travel for work-related functions and training
- Detail-oriented, organised, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with:
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to recognise and analyse problems, set goals, and implement actionable solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a knack for adapting to new technology systems quickly
