JOB OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, as Restaurant Supervisor you will assist in ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant, maintaining high service standards and maximising sales by leading and motivating the restaurant team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure service staff provide customers with prompt, professional, efficient service
- Ensure immaculate personal presentation of all service staff, adhering to company dress code.
- Ensuring cash handling procedures are adhered to and that customer billing is correct.
- Maintain full and comprehensive knowledge of the menu, specials etc, able to advise customers and service staff on all dishes offered.
- Strive to continuously improve customer service.
- Achieve targets and objectives set.
- Ensure that restaurant is set up for service, monitoring, supporting and assisting waiting staff.
- Ensure the restaurant runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of provision and service.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with customer complaints and operational issues.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to operational requirements.
- Provide inspiring and motivational leadership.
- Monitor staff sickness, absence and time-keeping ensuring adherence to company rules and procedures.
- Ensure that all staff comply with the statutory and company Health Safety & policies and procedures.
- Assist in the Induction of new employees.
- To assist with training of new and existing staff.
- To set up the restaurant according to the function sheets.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS:
- 2 + years restaurant experience in 4/5 star/luxury hotel restaurants.
- Experience of working with multi-cultural teams.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Strong organisation & administrative skills.
- IT skills – MS Office, Opera.
- Strong communicator.
- Team Player.
- Enthusiastic and energetic
- Passionate about customer service
- Immaculate personal presentation
- To live no further than a 30-mile radius from the hotel and be a driver

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 GCSE grade A-C including maths and English or equivalent.
- Professional restaurant management qualification (HNC/HND).
- Other relevant professional qualification (food & beverage related).
- Food hygiene and appropriate HS&E & First Aid accreditation/certification.
