Our Restaurant Supervisor role
We’re looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at The Living Space at Watergate Bay Hotel.
You’ll help create the atmosphere, service and sense of belonging that keeps guests returning to The Living Space time and again.
From developing team members and sharing your knowledge of our food and drink offering to managing stock and maintaining high standards, you'll help shape the experience our guests remember.
What we’re looking for
- At least one year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Confidence in handling guest feedback and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Strong food and drink knowledge, with the ability to share it with guests and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A calm, organised approach and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
- A positive, approachable leadership style with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership when leading shifts.

What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading by example on the floor, creating the warm, confident and attentive service that defines The Living Space experience.
- Ensuring every guest leaves feeling looked after, handling requests, feedback and enquiries with professionalism, empathy and care.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the restaurant, maintaining high standards and helping every service run smoothly from start to finish.
- Working closely with our Restaurant Manager, stepping into the role when needed and providing clear, supportive leadership for the team.
- Building a positive and motivated team culture by supporting the ongoing training, development and performance of our people.
- Sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our food and drink offering, helping both guests and team members get the most from every experience.
- Taking ownership of beverage ordering, deliveries and stock management, ensuring excellent availability while minimising waste.
- Collaborating with our Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to continually improve our menus, service standards and guest experience.
- Championing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and team members, ensuring health and safety standards are consistently upheld.
- Playing your part in creating the memorable moments, thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail that makes Watergate Bay Hotel so special.
