Job Description
The Restoration Technician plays a key role in restoring homes affected by fire or flood, ensuring customers can safely return to their properties as quickly and confidently as possible. This role focuses on delivering high-quality mitigation, restoration, and customer care, supporting insurers’ expectations and providing a smooth, reassuring experience for affected homeowners.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate and Insightful Damage Assessment Assess the extent and type of fire or water damage to enable clear, accurate restoration decisions.

Efficient and Effective Restoration Planning Develop and deliver safe and practical restoration plans to ensure a smooth and prompt handover to reinstatement teams.

High-Standard Water and Fire Mitigation Perform tasks such as:
- Water extraction
- Wet and contaminated material strip-out
- Soot decontamination
- Drying equipment setup

Clean, Safe, and Habitable Environments Complete:
- Decontamination
- Sanitising
- Deodorising
- Debris removal To restore properties to safe, habitable conditions.

Clear, Accurate Documentation Maintain a detailed log of works completed, including:
- Accurate moisture readings
- Updates to insurance systems
- Production of floorplans
- Support for claim processes

Positive and Supportive Customer Experience Communicate clearly with:
- Customers
- Adjusters
- Colleagues Providing reassurance and timely updates.

- Consistent Safety and Compliance Adherence Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements for the Role
- Full clean manual driving license
- Experience within flood and fire restoration
- BMDA and/or IICRC certifications (desirable)
- 28 days Annual Leave
