Job Overview

THIS IS AN ADVERT FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN JOINING OUR RESUSCITATION TRAINER BANK

An exciting opportunity has become available within the BCUHB Resuscitation Service. You will join an established, dedicated team delivering all levels of Resuscitation Training, clinical support, and advice—helping to drive service improvements.

Applicants who can speak Welsh are desirable, though English and/or Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply.


Main Duties

  • Must be a qualified Immediate Life Support (ILS) and/or Paediatric Immediate Life Support (PILS) instructor.
  • On appointment, the role involves delivering training from Basic Life Support (BLS) to Immediate Life Support (ILS), across BCUHB services and other healthcare settings as a B6 Resuscitation Trainer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Resuscitation Team Manager to deliver resuscitation services for both staff and patients across Acute & Community Services.
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care, working co-operatively with colleagues.
  • Comply with Organisational Policies, National Guidance, NMC/HCPC Codes of Practice, and professional standards.
  • Support the management process for concerns/complaints pertaining to the Resuscitation Service.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered with the NMC (Welsh counterpart for HCPC).
  • ILS instructor (ILSi) certification.

Desirable Criteria

  • Advanced instructor qualifications (e.g., ALS Instructor).
  • Familiarity with Welsh language.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in instructing groups.
