Role: Retail Account Manager
Location: London, United Kingdom
About the role:
As Senior Account Executive within the Projects Team, you'll support the effective delivery of store opening projects and retail marketing activations across Europe, working to established processes and cross-functional stakeholder frameworks.
You'll track store project timelines, coordinate across merchandising, visual merchandising, store development, and market teams, and ensure that each new store is set up correctly from a retail marketing perspective. You'll manage in-store communication (ISC) and window order production and delivery with precision, and help onboard new stores into European systems and processes for future campaign execution.
This is a collaborative, detail-orientated role that sits at the operational heart of a high-profile retail partnership. You'll work across a complex stakeholder landscape and play a direct role in ensuring stores open on time, on concept, and ready to activate.
What you will be doing:
- Track the store projects list, maintaining a clear understanding of affected stores, timelines, and interdependencies across the EU retail portfolio
- Follow the store opening process guide for each project, ensuring full alignment with all relevant stakeholders including merchandising, visual merchandising, store development, market teams, and global functions
- Brief retail marketing functions in markets on their roles, responsibilities, and project processes in line with the RACI model
- Follow the opening product allocation and visual merchandising microplan to ensure each store receives the right mix of retail marketing tools in line with master orders
- Review floorplans, furniture, and VM orders to confirm that the latest store concept features and upcoming marketing campaigns are fully executable across windows, launch zones, and category areas
- Manage the creation, production, and delivery of ISC and window orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collect all activation information from local teams three weeks prior to each target opening date, ensuring timely input and clear communication
- Train local teams on the new store concept, ensuring they are ready to operate from a marketing perspective, that campaigns launch on time, and that any snagging issues are followed up
- Onboard new stores and their details into all European systems and processes to support future campaign execution
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across a wide stakeholder network, including Cluster Retail Marketing, Europe Omni-channel VM, DTC Merchandising, Field Teams, Business Unit Comms Teams, Global VM and ISC, agencies, and vendors

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
