Retail Administration Placement

Retail Administration Intern – 12-Month Placement at Victoria Beckham Ltd

Please note that only current university students who are required to complete a placement year as part of their course are eligible for this opportunity.

Victoria Beckham Ltd offers a selection of work placement opportunities for students studying in university, providing hands-on experience in the fashion industry. These placements offer a practical learning experience applicable to future roles and complement the university curriculum.

Location: Mayfair, London Duration: 12-month placement


Role Overview

As a Retail Administration Intern in our flagship store, you will provide vital operational support to the store leadership and retail team. Acting as a bridge between front-of-house and head office, you’ll ensure seamless processes and maintain high operational standards. This internship involves a mix of in-store and office-based work, demanding strong organisational skills, proactivity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Operational & Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update store documents, files, and databases
  • Assist in stock management (receipts, transfers, RTVs, stock takes)
  • Support scheduling, rotations, and holiday planning in line with payroll
  • Process store expenses, invoices, and petty cash, liaising with finance
  • Manage after-sales service repairs and coordinate with key stakeholders

⚠️ Store Compliance & Standards

  • Coordinate store maintenance and ensure health & safety checks
  • Support execution of Visual Merchandise (VM) guidelines and seasonal campaigns from HQ
  • Maintain brand standards in both front and back-of-house areas

📩 Communication & Liaison

  • Support training administration (booking sessions, tracking completion)
  • Organise store meetings and prepare meeting notes when required
  • Manage and maintain client appointment calendars

👥 Team Support

  • Provide operational support to the Store Manager and wider leadership
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires, employee documentation, and induction processes
  • Support recruitment administration in partnership with HR

Profile & Required Skills

  • Preferred: Previous internship experience in retail administration, store operations, or retail
  • Highly organised, with excellent time management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with data handling, reporting, and software (Excel, workforce management tools)
  • Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented
  • A collaborative team player, able to work comfortably in-store and in-office
  • Passion for retail, operations, and delivering an exceptional store environment
