35 hours per week plus additional payment for home matches

Job role:

To manage all aspects of the retail business including Club Shop, Ecommerce, Reception and Ticket Office, including on matchdays. You will be required to lead and motivate the shop, reception and ticketing staff in a positive and friendly way. As well as managing the day-to-day shop and ticketing office activities.

Duties and responsibilities

Shop Operations:

  • Maintain stock levels, through replenishments and stock requests.
  • Manage stock loss through effective stock controls.
  • Respond to customer queries and complaints;
  • Oversee the maintenance of the online shop;
  • Process and send out online and phone orders;
  • Input into retail promotions and events including season ticket launch;
  • Maintain the shop and ticketing Back office systems to ensure accurate reports and stock levels and ticket scans;
  • Create visual merchandising displays for window and shop;

Ticket Operations:

  • Run all aspects of the Club’s ticketing requirements, not limited to matches;
  • Liaise with EFL on ticketing requirements;
  • Oversee #SWA2 campaign and ticketing distribution and transfers;
  • Complete accurate ticket returns for away fixtures;
  • Oversee the turnstile scanning equipment to ensure it is fully operational when required.

Finance:

  • Maintain detailed weekly and monthly sales and stock figures;
  • Monitor financial performance and make business recommendations based on findings.
  • Maintain and reconcile full daily banking figures;
  • Produce accurate reports on attendances, ticket sales and season ticket sales;
  • Hit both department and individual targets set by Line manager.
  • Adhere to financial process for income generating activities;

Staff Management:

  • Line management of the Retail Assistants;
  • Day to day management of Shop, Reception and Ticketing staff, ensuring their compliance with all TRFC policies and procedures;
  • Effectively manage all shop, reception and ticketing staff to ensure every area is adequately staffed, including on matchdays;
  • To interview, recruit, appraise and discipline shop, reception and ticketing staff as required in line with HR procedures;

Skills, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Minimum of 3 years management experience;
  • Good communication skills and proven ability to lead a team;
  • Excellent numeracy skills with an understanding of budgets and financial targets;
  • Professional and friendly manner;
  • Clean and presentable attire;
  • Organised and efficient;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel;
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR legislation;
  • Ability to problem solve;
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
