Retail Assistant
Retail Assistant – GSF Car Parts
Duties
As a Retail Assistant at GSF Car Parts, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while contributing to branch and team performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing retail and trade customers for click and collect and general orders, with a focus on maximising sales opportunities
- Retrieving and picking relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfil customer orders efficiently
- Supporting the sales team by handling telephone and electronic queries, and assisting with product promotions
- Ensuring customer satisfaction for orders, returns, or queries—for warranty checks, damage assessments, and resale evaluations
- Maintaining clean and professional customer-facing areas to reflect GSF’s standards
- Building strong customer relationships by understanding garage needs and offering tailored support
- Representing GSF’s core values through professionalism, approachability, and brand alignment
- Contributing to team and individual KPI targets, including sales performance and operational efficiency
Key tools for development:
- Utilising the E-learning portal to expand product knowledge and enhance performance

Working hours: Average of 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturday shifts
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Essential:
- Proven experience in customer service or sales/retail, preferably in a customer-facing environment
- Strong target-driven motivation with a results-focused mindset
- Exceptional customer service skills, including conflict resolution and proactive problem-solving
- Confidence in IT and computer systems (e.g., Windows, email, databases)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Attention to detail for order accuracy, documentation, and administrative tasks
Desirable (but not essential):
- Familiarity with car parts or the automotive industry
- Experience with MAM, Allicat, or Microsoft Office Suite
